It has been 4 years since Alpha and Erie were
together. Alpha was a defence aspirant and Erie was a student of Software Engineering. Alpha
completed his graduation and came to Delhi for the preparation of Defence Services. Where he met Erie in an institute and by the time they got closer. After pursuing a few months, Alpha
proposed Erie, but he made his thoughts clear with his aim and life and told Erie that he wanted
to last forever with Erie along with his love for Nation. Erie was supporting him enough, she
agreed to his words. Let me tell you something about her. Erie, a
simple and sober girl with black eyes and long hair with a cute smiling face and a fair
complexion. She looked pretty beautiful when she wore spectacles and smiled. Her liveliness
attracted Alpha and he fell in love with her. A bit about Alpha, he was an average looking guy with a high sense of humor and attractive with his positive attitude and a gentleman. When Alpha
came to Delhi, he was just 19 years old and when he met Erie, he had just turned 20.
They both continued their relation for 3
years and in these 3 years, they have gone through a lot of happiness. Their relationship was not
like a usual twosome. There were a lot of things which were different and looked pretty. Alpha
wondered many times that he got such a supportive lady. They never treated each
other as girlfriend or boyfriend. Erie was a pleasant girl; she praised every step of Alpha. He
appeared in exams and failed many a time, but Erie kept encouraging him for his efforts and to
improve. Where they saw many people getting in a relationship and later breaking up in a short
time, they hold their hands tightly. Alpha had told Erie about his first love and that is his
dream and love towards the nation and olive greens. Even after knowing that Erie is his second choice,
she kept him loving infinitely and encouraged him to achieve his love.
Now the time was to take a turn, they were
about to be separated. The reason was very satisfying, now they had to meet after a long time.
Finally, he was going to join the Indian Military Academy. Their emotions swept away by the happiness of
Alpha’s achievement. He just left his unexpressed love with her and left the place
with his teary eyes. She had no choice to live with the memories spent with him.
Time passed and their love got stronger even
having a long-distance and rare contact. Alpha started maintaining his diary, in which he
used to write what he felt. He used to write every moment he missed Erie, his love, hug and all
the moments they spent together. The term break was very near, Alpha planned surprise. He talked
to a mutual friend and arranged things in a manner that it should seem usual. He invited
Erie, she reached to the decided place and found Alpha
already present there. Her emotions broke out and tears rolled out. She hugged
him as tightly as she could; her broken patience was screaming her love for
him. It was just a few months but it seemed that they spent years without meeting.
They shared everything that they went through without each other.
Since then Erie got a job in a private firm.
She has started her new professional life. She had new responsibilities and duties. Somehow she
got engaged in office work and she started focusing on the same. Later, Alpha left for
another term of training and this time, Alpha decided not to meet her till his
commissioning.
Erie was sad but happy to see Alpha’s dream
coming true. It was a long duration and they neither talked nor met. Alpha thought to see Erie
in his passing out parade and wanted to make him watch marching in parade ground in olive
green. He sent her a message to join the Passing out Parade (POP) and started planning many
things to do after getting commissioned. He thought to ask Erie for marriage. He was
dreaming about it all and finally, the day came. It was Alpha’s POP and he found his parents only there. His
eyes were searching for her but couldn’t find her there. He thought it might be a surprise for
him that she may join them after the event. But the day came to an end, his parents uncovered the
stars from his shoulders and now they could see the Lieutenant Alpha before them. His parents
were proud of him, but Alpha was still looking for his love. He couldn’t get her and left
broken. Though he just thought his parent's happiness and the moment he earned, he kept a smile on
his face.
He got his first posting in J&K. Before
going there, he thought to meet Erie. He tried contacting her but couldn’t connect. He tried
their mutual friend; he called her but didn’t get any news of her. Now a situation hit his
mind, “I didn’t meet her for a long time and neither any contact has been made. What happened to her?
Why is she not picking up the call? What is the reason that none of her friends know
about her?” He was puzzled and thought to reach her home. He couldn’t wait for even a day; he
took flight and talked to a common friend to join him to reach her home. In-flight, he was lost in
her thoughts, he just took their mutual friend along and heeded to Erie’s house.
Doorbell rang! A man of height approximately
6 ft. probably Erie’s father opened the door and inquired them. They just introduced
themselves and they were welcomed by the man. They took their seat, but Alpha couldn’t wait to
see her, every time anyone coming behind the curtain made him excited to see Erie but
used to get sad finding someone else appearing from there. It was the height of wait and Alpha just opened
his mouth and asked about Erie, “Where is Erie? Has she gone to the office?” and many questions.
Before anyone could respond, Alpha saw a
photo frame on the wall behind his chair and it was Erie’s photo which was in a sort of uniform
which cadets put on. He inquired again, “Where is she?” We are eager to meet her as it has been
a long time. Alpha was surprised to hear that Erie has got a
chance to walk on the foot-mark that you left and to become an officer in armed
forces. She applied and appeared and got flying colors with the help of her
dedicated work and efforts. She is at OTA (Officer’s Training
Academy) for her training to become a part of Armed forces.
To his surprise, Erie has joined Armed
forces following his footmarks. Alpha was happy and surprised as well that his love pursued and
aimed to serve the nation. He with his thoughts and feelings came back and requested them to
inform him when Erie came back on term break.
Later Eries commissioning, Alpha and Erie got
married and living a happy life together.
